EPC-7460A Stainless Steel Protection Coating
EPC-7460A Stainless Steel Protective Coating has been specifically formulated for coating buildings cladding, siding, balconies and all other externally exposed architectural structures. It is a crystal clear, one part, air cured coating. It provides high levels of protection from: Oxidisation, Staining, Fingerprints, Browning, Tea Staining, Acid, Bleaches.
About EPC-7460A
Impeccable solutions for the protective coating of stainless steel, anodised aluminium and bare aluminium.
EPC-7460A is a crystal clear one part air cured coating. This formulation is the hardest wearing* of our coatings, though remains flexible enough to withstand the expansions and contractions of the coated surface and is guaranteed not to crack, peel or yellow.
*It has excellent chemical, abrasion and impact resistance above rating H8 on the scratch resistance pencil scale.
The formulation contains higher levels of salt resistance enabling total protection against salt air, salt fog, salt water, bleach, acids and bird droppings. It is a self-levelling easy to apply product, leaving a seamless surface.
EPC-7460A Contains silver ion anti-microbial technology making it resistant to bacterial growth. The coating is extremely thin measuring only 3 to 5 microns making it virtually invisible to the naked eye.
Super protection
EPC-7460A will protect the structure from bleaches, acids, bird droppings and other corrosives. The coating will expand and contract with the metal and provide extreme protection against oxidation, tarnish, rusting, chalking and corrosion.
Completely sealed
The coating will self-level to leave a seamless, fully sealed surface. 20 minutes to touch dry and 8 hours to fully cure, it will form a 3 to 5 micron thick protective film to halt the ingress of any contaminants and be 100% waterproof.
Super-hard
EPC7460A has excellent chemical, abrasion and impact resistance above rating H8 on the scratch resistance pencil scale using the ASTM method D3363-05.
Note: H9 is the hardest reading. As comparison granite measures H6.
5 year guarantee
The EPC-7460A coating has a warranty of up to 5 years. Structures protected by the coating are easy to maintain and can be kept up indefinitely.
Finish shaping
Dries crystal clear and virtually invisible to the naked eye. Protection will be formed without further tea stains and corrosion. The product's built-in fingerprint resistance system will protect the finish from fingerprint staining.
Antibacterial coating
EPC-7460A Contains silver ion anti-microbial technology making it resistant to bacterial growth.

Why Doesn't My Stainless Steel Finish Always Shine?
Brand new brush finish stainless steel of all grades gives the surface a sparkle shine, as the light diffracts off and around the shiny microscopic mirror-like inside surfaces of the angular valleys of the brush grooves.
Unfortunately, after a very short time and through general use the valleys become contaminated as dirt, debris, and grease clog up the valleys and the mirror like surfaces become dulled. The surface then becomes matt and stained in appearance.
In this case you need the ERW-XL and ERW-BD for dirt and rust removal. They will give you back a shiny, new-like finish. Of course, the important thing is that you need the EPC-7460A to protect these results. Once the EPC-7460A crystal clear coating fills the valleys of the brush finish allowing light to pass through whilst protecting from contamination. The film thickness is only 5 microns thick and crystal clear,enhancing the natural finish.

How do you protect brushed stainless steel?
We recommend BROMOCO stainless steel protection solutions. For stainless steel that already shows signs of use, first use ERW-BD or ERW-XL (both depending on whether rust and browning need to be removed from the surface of the stainless steel) to gently clean the surface to avoid damage to the brushed finish. Then overcoat with EPC-7460A to form a protective layer against physical and chemical attack for up to a decade.
If your stainless steel is exposed to harsh environments for extended periods of time, such as the coast or swimming pools, this will accelerate rusting of the stainless steel. You can stop the physical and chemical attack by removing the rust with ERW-XL and overcoating with EPC-7460A. We recommend that you use the EPC-7460A, which is designed to protect stainless steel from physical and chemical attack under the toughest environmental challenges. Functions include preventing rust, resisting UV damage, resisting contamination, and maintaining a beautiful finish for over 10 years when properly applied.
